The news still remains less than promising for the Phillies, who seem to be losing player after player to injury.   Todd Zolecki tweets that Roy Oswalt's back is still bothering him and he may be headed to the disabled list.

Yesterday, some reports surfaced that catcher Carlos Ruiz had a setback and also may be headed to the disabled list.  Dane Sardinha started last night and will likely remain on the roster.

The Phillies, already short with 11 pitcherss, could have Joe Blanton back as soon as Monday, but may wish to add another pitcher for the itnerim.  Because there was injury, David Herndon would be eligible to return if they so choose.  Other options at AAA Lehigh Valley on the Phillies 40-man roster include Scott Mathieson and Mike Zagurski.
