Tuesday night accomplished more than one thing for the Sixers. Not only did they win their 51st game, they broke a single-season franchise record for consecutive victories with 15. Tonight, they'll host Milwaukee in the final regular season game, hoping to lock-up the third seed in the Eastern Conference.
While the playoffs are on the minds of most, it's worth mentioning that the Lakers locked themselves into the 10th-best lottery odds on Tuesday with their loss to Houston paired with Charlotte's victory over Indiana. What that means is that L.A. will have 11 lottery ball combinations when the draft lottery is upon us in May.
The Sixers will have a small chance (1.1 percent) at the No. 1 overall pick while Boston will have a 2.9 percent chance at getting that pick if it lands between 2-3, completing the Sixers trade with the Celtics during the 2018 draft. Los Angeles' pick cannot drop to No. 4 or No. 5. If the pick doesn't convey to Boston this year, they will get the more favorable of the Sacramento/Philadelphia pick in 2019, unless it is No. 1. The Lakers chances to land the No. 10 pick this year, thus conveying to the Sixers, is at 87 percent.
The Athletics Derek Bodner breaks it down here:
Lakers pick odds:
– 1.1% at #1 (to Sixers)
– 1.3% at #2 (to Celtics)
– 1.6% at #3 (to Celtics)
– 87% at #10 (to Sixers)
– 8.9% at #11 (to Sixers)
– 0.2% at #12 (to Sixers)
– 0.001% at #13 (to Sixers)More: https://t.co/bxruyTKBuC

Philadelphia has long been linked to this Lakers pick since trading Michael Carter-Williams to Milwaukee in a three-team deal back in 2015. If it conveys, the Sixers will have two more young players to add to the mix in addition to Jonah Bolden, who might come over from overseas next season.
