A decision regarding Lane Johnson may be coming soon.
The Eagles right tackle has an appeal hearing scheduled for Oct. 4 as he attempts to avoid a pending 10-game suspension.
By starting the appeal process, it indicates that the suspension will be upheld after the Johnson's B sample was examined.
Johnson started and played in both games for the Eagles this season and will play on Sunday when the Eagles face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3. With the Eagles having a bye week in Week 4, two days before the hearing, Johnson's suspension, if upheld following the appeal process, would begin on Oct. 9 when the Eagles face the Detroit Lions in Week 5.
If Johnson does indeed miss time, guard Allen Barbre would move to right tackle and Isaac Seumalo or Stefen Wisniewski would fill in at left guard. This is how the Eagles had things arranged on the offensive line during the preseason, as they prepared to be without Johnson.
