John Lannan looks to rebound today from two less than inspiring outings, the last which was particularly awful. The past two games the Braves have been limited in the run scoring department which is normally their speciality so a good outing from Lannan would appear essential tonight. The Braves did chase him in the 5th with four runs a few weeks ago.
Brandon Beachy makes his fourth start since coming back from Tommy John Surgery. Beachy's already faced the Phillies once since them and put up a quality start against them. He's coming off of eight shut out frames against Miami last week.
After a rare 0-4 night against a club he normally rakes, Brian McCann sits for Evan Gattis, who's been a pretty interesting story this season. Light hitting but defensive whiz Paul Janish takes over at shortstop tonight.As for the Phillies John Mayberry is back in centerfield tonight and Carlos Ruiz is catching.
