Larry Bowa will interview for Marlins manager job on Monday

When the Marlins fired manager Mike Redmond and general manager Dan Jennings put a uniform on and started managing, not many people took it seriously.   Since the Marlins were on the hook for Redmond's salary and since the team was still paying Ozzie Guillen to not manage the team during the 2015 season, it was if the Marlins did not want to spend for a third manager at the same time.  Now that the season is over, the Marlins are looking for a manager once again, and they have interest in a Phillies coach.

Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports:

The Marlins interviewed Bowa before.

Prior to hiring Mike Redmond prior to the 2013 season, the Marlins reportedly interviewed Bowa for the open job.

The Marlins began interviewing candidates a few weeks ago, reportedly interviewing former Cleveland Indians manager Manny Acta and former Houston Astros manager Bo Porter.   Manager Dan Jennings is expected to return to the Marlins front office.   Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria has reportedly said that he is looking for an experienced manager.

Bowa managed the Phillies from 2001 through 2005 and the San Diego Padres in 1987 through part of 1988.
