This morning on 97.5 The Fanatic ESPN's Adam Schefter picked the Eagles to outlast the New York Giants, Washington Redskins, and Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East.
Schefter added that he feels the division can go either way because of how even the teams appear to be, but when pressed to pick a team he went with the birds.
The Eagles were one game away from being a .500 football team last season, and they placed them last in the tightly contested NFC East.
This year the Birds will have it tough again, with the 10th highest strength of schedule in the league.
The Cowboys strength of schedule is tied with the Eagles at 10th toughest. The Giants have the eighth toughest, and the Redskins have the seventh toughest strength of schedule.
It will be tough for any team to emerge in the division with the grueling schedules that all of the teams have, so Schefter's sentiment that the division can go in any direction is certainly valid.
A division win would be a welcome site to Eagles fans who have not seen their team in the NFL Playoffs in any of the last three seasons.
