Last year LeGarrette Blount went unsigned until training camps opened and the Eagles offered him a low-risk one-year contract that he parlayed into his second consecutive Super Bowl victory.
This year, Blount may not have to wait nearly as long to find his next team:
Lions visiting with four veteran RBs this week — two down, two to go. Frank Gore will visit Thursday, LeGarrette Blount on Friday, per source. DeMarco Murray and Jonathan Stewart already visited. Lions going through process with each.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports the Blount is among a contingent of running backs who are meeting with the Lions. It is important to note that the Lions' new head coach is Matt Patricia, who spent time with Blount in New England.
Blount played in all 16 games for the Eagles last season and in all three playoff matchups en route to the franchise's first Super Bowl victory. Blount proved that he can still be effective despite being over the proverbial running back hill, as he turned 31-years old last December. Blount had 173 carries last season for 766 yards – an average of 4.4 yards per carry.
It was unlikely that the Eagles would return LeGarrette Blount in 2018, and at this time there is no mention of the Eagles pushing to re-sign him.
