LeSean McCoy: Murray’s not better than me

This off-season, the Philadelphia Eagles shocked the NFL when they traded running back LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills in exchange for linebacker Kiko Alonso.

McCoy. the Eagles all-time leading rusher, wasn't too happy about his departure from Philadelphia. Soon after the trade, he claimed that Eagles head coach Chip Kelly was uncomfortable with having black players in the locker room.

In an interview with GQ on Tuesday, McCoy continued his verbal assault on the Eagles.

The Eagles ultimately replaced McCoy with free agent running backs DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews.

There has been a lot of debate about how Murray will perform this year with Philadelphia. Last season with the Dallas Cowboys. he carried the rock for a whopping 392 times. Also, the Cowboys had one of the most dominant offensive lines in football last season.

McCoy believes that the Eagles downgraded at the running back position.

"I think Murray's good," McCoy said. "But I don't see him as competition as far as best backs. I like my game a lot."

McCoy also suggested that Bills head coach Rex Ryan is less demanding of his players than Kelly.

"(Ryan) lets you be a man," McCoy said. "He won't say, 'be in bed by ten o'clock', or check your sleep. He's just like: be professionals."

Kelly, Murray and the rest of the Eagles will likely remember McCoy's words when the Bills travel to Philadelphia in week 14 of the regular season on Dec. 13.
