McCoy Snow HurdleEagles running back LeSean McCoy has won the FedEx Ground Player of The Year Award for the second time in his career, after finishing as the NFL's rushing champion in 2013.

LeSean McCoy, for the second-time in three years has been announced as the FedEx Ground Player of the year for 2013.

To say McCoy was Chip Kelly's ultimate weapon in his first season as an NFL head coach would be a dramatic understatement.

The Eagles running back posted a historic season, finishing as the NFL's rushing champion with 1,607 rushing yards and nine touchdowns.

His output represents the most rushing yards in Eagles franchise history, surpassing Wilbert Montgomery's 1,512 yard mark set back in 1979 and his 2,146 yards from scrimmage also is a franchise record, passing Brian Westbrook on the team's all-time list.

Four times this season McCoy surpassed the 150-yards rushing plateau, including a 207 yard outburst against the Detroit Lions on December 8th, which catapulted him past Hall of Famer Steve Van Buren for the most rushing yards in a single game in Eagles franchise history.

No other running back in the league rushed for 150 yards more than one time during the 2013 season.

This is the second-time in three years that McCoy has taken home the FedEx Ground Player of The Year award. Peyton Manning won the FedEx Air Player of The Year award this season.
