Lifeless, Boring, And Uninspiring, Phillies Still Not “Committed To Dealing”?

Here's what we know about the Phillies:

  1. They aren't good
  2. They're not fun to watch
  3. We stopped paying to go to the park to watch the same mediocrity over and over again

Yet, the stubborn Phillies still do not want to do anything to get better, seemingly committed to the same mediocrity thinking that somehow we'll be dumb enough to pay to see it.

Buster Olney from ESPN had a couple damning things to say this Sunday evening:

But the "rival exec" probably is doing what he can to make his team watchable.   We saw earlier that other executives thought the Phillies were overvaluing their players.  That could be because they want to keep each and every one of them.

I've said it before: I'll pay to watch young players.  I will not pay to watch this.  If the Phillies blow this trade deadline, they are condeming themselves to the worst attendance in the 10-year history of Citizens Bank Park next season.
