According to CSNPhilly, the Sixers will give Dewayne Dedmon another 10-day contract offer. The original contract, set to expire Thursday, was a solid trial run for Dedmon, who is averaging 5.8 rebounds per game for the Sixers in just under 15 minutes of floor time.
Dedmon, a 24-year old from USC, has played in five games for the Sixers, averaging 3.6ppg, 1.0 bpg in 14.8 mpg in addition to the 5.8 rebound number. Dedmon played four games this season with the Golden State Warriors, but only played 1.5 minutes per game for them.
This 10-day deal would be the second between Dedmon and the Sixers, so they would need to sign him for the rest of the season if they planned to hang on to him for longer. His NBA D-League numbers on the season are intriguing as he averaged 15.2 points, 13.5 rebounds and just over two blocks per game for the Santa Cruz Warriors.
