Andrew MacDonald will miss at least one game after taking a hit along the boards from Tom Kuhnhackl in the Flyers 6-2 loss to the Penguins on Sunday.
The Flyers defenseman was thrown awkwardly into the boards and remained down on the ice as the Penguins scored their fifth goal of the game on a 2-on-1.
MacDonald has played in 24 games this season, picking up seven assists. He is also a plus-8 on the season, tied for second place on the team.
MacDonald left the game and did not return. The Flyers will likely tab Evgeny Medvedev to fill the spot with MacDonald coming out of the lineup.
Medvedev has played in 44 games this season, scoring three goals and adding eight assists.
The Flyers will be in Detroit on Wednesday night to face the Red Wings.
