Following the signing of Jordan Matthews to his third stint with the team earlier in the week, the Eagles still had one roster spot vacant due to their release of Andrew Sendejo.
On Thursday afternoon, the Eagles announced they had claimed safety Marcus Epps off of waivers to fill that spot.

Oddly enough, the Eagles claimed Epps from the Vikings – who released him to make room for Andrew Sendejo.
Epps was drafted in the sixth-round by the Vikings in the 2019 draft out of Wyoming.
He has appeared in eight games for the Vikings this season, though he has played just 12 defensive snaps and made one tackle.
Epps had carved out a role with the Vikings as a special teams guy, however.
The Eagles are taking a flier on Epps, though it is unclear if they intend to give him and defensive snaps this season or plan to keep him in a special teams role and develop him for the future.
At Wyoming, Epps recorded 214 tackles across 50 games played. He also managed two sacks, four fumble recoveries, 22 defensed passes and nine interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown.
