The Philadelphia 76ers (13-10) were back at practice on Wednesday ahead of their game on Thursday against the Los Angeles Lakers (8-15). On November 19, the team gave a positive update on first-round pick Markelle Fultz, indicating that his scapular soreness was dissipating and the imbalance was improving. At that point, they set a 2-3 week period until he'd be re-evaluated and we're coming up on that this week. Two weeks from November 19 was this past Sunday, meaning the three week mark is just a few days away. Following practice on Wednesday, the team issued their regular medical update and per Kyle Neubeck, we should get a Fultz update soon.
Still no formal Fultz update, but he was out and moving around when we got here for practice. Sixers say they anticipate something formal in next few days, perhaps as soon as tomorrow

Markelle has spent part of the last week or so rehabbing at the Shoulder Center of Kentucky in Lexington. He returned to the Sixers practice facility on Wednesday, but did just light work before heading off the court. Fultz's shoulder problems seemed to arise over the summer and many believe the reason his shot was adjusted was because of the ailment. In four games, he shot just 33 percent from the floor and 50 percent from the charity stripe.
Assuming the next update on Fultz is good, he's probably still a few weeks or even a month away from returning. As we've seen with the Sixers over the past years, they like to take a cautious approach. With Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid healthy at this point in time, it gives Fultz more of an opportunity to get to 100 percent and not worry about the team losing too many games in his absence.
Saric injures eye, McConnell questionable for Thursday
Sixers forward Dario Saric is currently being evaluated by the medical staff after suffering a left eye laceration during Wednesday's practice, according to Marc Narducci of the Philadelphia Daily News. He was also poked in the right eye. Sheesh, rough day for Dario. Meanwhile, T.J. McConnell was limited in practice due to his AC joint sprain and is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Lakers. He's missed the last three games.
