The Phillies acquired right-handed pitcher Seth Rosin as part of the package that sent Hunter Pence to the San Francisco Giants. But the Mets have flipped Rosin to the Los Angeles Dodgers in a cash deal.
Rosin's former catcher at Reading early in 2013 sent him congratulations, but didn't get the memo:
Best of luck to my buddy @SethDanielRosin with Mets!!

This could be good news for the Phillies, as I find it less likely that the Dodgers can carry Rosin for the whole season than if it had been the Mets, making the chances greater that the Phillies get him back. Being a contending team, it is harder to carry a player who may go through some growing pains. Rosin has never pitched above AA to this point.
The Phillies remain light on starting pitchers. More on that later.
