It's a busy late Tuesday night.
The Phillies' N.L. East rival the Miami Marlins continued their stunning sale of players late Tuesday night when they traded IF Hanley Ramirez and reliever Randy Choate to to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The move means the Marlins have given up on their re-tooled team that was supposed to contend in 2012.
The Marlins endured a rough time getting Ramirez to play third base, controversy with new manager Ozzie Guillen, and the usual tough Miami crowd.
In return, the Marlins get 22 year-old pitcher Nathan Eovaldi, who is 1-6 with a 4.15 ERA "and a prospect".
The Dodgers continue to attempt to trade for Ryan Dempster as well.
