Not that there was any rush, being that it is February 11th, but the Philadelphia Eagles have made a quarterback decision, after weeks of chatter among fans about the status of Michael Vick and Nick Foles under new head coach Chip Kelly. Adam Shefter reports that the Eagles have signed a new deal with Michael Vick:
Biggest off-season QB domino already has fallen: Eagles have re-signed Michael Vick to a one-year deal for 2013 season.

The deal reportedly has a one-year guarantee, with two additional years that may be voided.
Really, there is no advantage to unloading either Vick or Foles right now. It is simply too early to see what is out there. If the Eagles find their ideal quarterback, they only owe Vick one year's pay to be a backup. Or, maybe a team out there takes Vick off of the Eagles' hands.
Simply, it's better to choose from many options than few.
