Per Ken Rosenthal Michael Young has chosen to end his 14 year career in MLB. While I have nearly forgotten most of the stuff that wasn't too heartbreaking about the 2013 Phillies, Young did a serviceable job the few months he was with the club before being cast off to the Dodgers to make one final run at October. Before '13, he spent a dozen years with the Texas Rangers. He leaves the game with a lifetime .300 BA and .787 OPS. We here at Philliedelphia wish him well in the golden years.
