The Chase Utley trade is already creating roster moves for the Phillies, who have officially added a starting pitcher for this weekend in Miami. Meanwhile, Darnell Sweeney, whom the Phillies just added in the Utley deal, will join the big league club to take the long-time second baseman's roster spot.
Jerad Eickhoff will be recalled to start Friday. Darnell Sweeney is also coming up to take Utley’s roster spot.

Sweeney hit .271 this year in Triple-A with 30 doubles, four triples, nine home runs, 49 RBI's and 69 runs scored. His plate discipline leaves something to be desired, with 116 strikeouts and just 42 walks, but he does have 32 steals. He'll be on tap to make his big league debut this weekend.
Also joining the Phillies will be Jerad Eickhoff, one of the pitchers from the Cole Hamels trade. His last start wasn't his best, allowing five runs on six hits in 7 2/3 innings. The final three runs came in his last inning of work though. Overall in Lehigh Valley, he's 2-1 with a 2.49 ERA, spanning 21 2/3 innings. This season, he is a combined 12-5 with a 3.85 ERA in 23 games between the Rangers and Phillies organizations.
