Nick Foles' 'accomplishments' section of his resume now has another line added to it.

Somewhere below winning the NFC East in his second NFL season, tying the NFL's record for touchdown passes in a single game, posting the third highest passer rating in league history, finishing with 29 total passing touchdowns and two interceptions and earning offensive player of the week honors twice while also capturing offensive player of the month honors in November, Pro Bowler now caps Foles' 2013 season.

Yes, the Philadelphia Eagles have a Pro Bowl quarterback, the third the franchise has had in the past five years.

Foles finished the Pro Bowl balloting as the first alternate behind Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers, Russell Wilson, Cam Newton and Drew Brees. Because Brady and the Patriots advanced, that means that one of the remaining quarterbacks will ultimately drop out of the Pro Bowl because they will be playing for the Lombardi trophy, which opened the door for the 24-year old.

With only ten starts under his belt, Foles is just the seventh quarterback in the last 25 years to get a Pro Bowl nod with so little experience.

In 2013 Foles accounted for 32 total touchdowns and only three turnovers.

Foles' 119.2 passer rating is third-highest in NFL history and his 27-to-2 touchdown-to-interception ratio is the best in league history.

His passer rating eclipsed 100 ten times this season, including the division title clinching season finale against the Cowboys and playoff game against the Saints.

Last week Chip Kelly committed to Foles as his quarterback moving forward, after the second-year signal caller took control of the job from veteran Michael Vick after rattling off wins in 8 of his 10 starts this season.

"If the Eagles are a franchise," Kelly told reporters Monday. "Then Nick is my quarterback."

This is the first season where the Pro Bowl teams are "unconferenced" meaning that the actual rosters for the Jan. 26 game at Aloha Stadium in Honoulu, Hawaii will be determinted by a fantasy draft.

Foles joins Eagles teammate LeSean McCoy in Hawaii, but Jason Peters has decided not to attend the festivities and will be replaced by Houston Texans offensive tackle Duane Brown. Meanwhile, Evan Mathis and DeSean Jackson are second alternates for the game.

The Pro Bowl players are elected by a vote that combines input from NFL fans, players and coaches.
