It’s official: Nick Foles will start the regular season finale against the Washington Redskins, according to Doug Pederson.
After the big win last night, Foles got emotional at his post-game press conference when he discussed the fact that it could be his final game in Lincoln Financial Field as a Philadelphia Eagle. He even took to Twitter to thank the fans.
Merry Christmas Philly. Thank y’all for being loud. Love y’all. pic.twitter.com/2i3z8Z1DZk

The final game of the regular season takes place just a short trip away in Washington D.C., so Eagles fans can head down to the Redskins’ stadium and take it over to give Foles that home-game feeling once more.
After Foles put up 471 yards and four touchdowns against a defense that ranks seventh in the league in points allowed, fans have a reason to be excited for the Birds’ match-up with the NFC East Rival Skins.
The only way the Eagles reach the playoffs is if Foles gets his third-straight win and the Bears beat the Vikings at the same time. The Bears will be playing that game for a chance at a first-round bye. The Eagles would then reach the Playoffs as the sixth seed and match-up with the Rams or Bears – whichever does not get the first-round bye, though the Bears would be the more likely opponent for the Eagles right now.
Carson Wentz will remain on the active roster and not be placed on IR at this time.
