By Josh Liddick, Sports Talk Philly editor Nick Wright: If Cavs don't make it to the Finals, the Sixers will

I've said it before, I don't like to listen to the national media-heads and their so-called predictions, but this one was just so good and so Sixers-centered, I couldn't pass it up.

On Fox Sports' First Things First with Nick Wright and Cris Carter, along with Steve Broussard and Jenna Wolfe today, was talking about Markelle Fultz's return to the Sixers on Monday night, and what his impact would be for the rest of the season, specifically the playoffs.

The Sixers currently trail the Cavaliers by a game for the third seed in the East, and the Sixers currently have a seven game winning streak. They also have a pretty easy schedule to end the year, with the Knicks (27-48), Hawks (21-53), Hornets (34-41), Nets (23-51), and Pistons (34-40) coming up next. All those games lead up to the Cavs game in Philly on April 6.

The Sixers have a very good chance of getting to 50 wins this season, and have a pretty good shot of making noise in the playoffs.

I'm personally not saying the Sixers will make the NBA Finals, but the way things are looking, and adding Markelle Fultz to the bench, it does look like there's a chance the Sixers make a run at the Eastern Conference Finals, especially with the injured Celtics, a playoff inconsistent Raptors, and a bunch of pretenders behind them.

We'll see what happens, but this is definitely something to keep an eye on.
