Erik Kratz is not the problem.
One early conclusion drawn in the Phillies struggles is that Phillies pitchers were not comfortable with catcher Erik Kratz. With Humberto Quintero starting today behind the plate for Roy Halladay, it raised questions with some, including Halladay himself who said that he and Kratz didn't "excute" what they agreed to.
John Clark of NBC10 got right down to it and asked:
Charlie says Roy has not voiced any concerns over Kratz. Charlie says if a pitcher doesn't like pitch selection, he can shake catcher off

Charlie says he liked the way Quintero caught Lannan Saturday. Wants to see Quintero catch Halladay. Kratz will catch Lee tomorrow

It is very true. Halladay can always shake him off or even talk to Kratz during the game. It was probably a frustrated Halladay upset by his own performance.
So, now we can go worry about something else.
