Dmitry Orlov scored two goals for the Washington Capitals in the first two periods of Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers. But it was his hit on Brayden Schenn that turned the tide for the Flyers.

Orlov received a five-minute major for boarding. The Flyers scored once on the power play as Jake Voracek cut Washington's lead to one.

Schenn was not seriously injured – though shaken up a bit – and Orlov did not receive a match penalty for the hit.

Despite that, Orlov will be suspended for two games according to reports.

Schenn has been on the end of a controversial hit by a Capital twice this season. Earlier this season, a hit by Tom Wilson did not receive supplemental discipline. Orlov has no prior history of suspension.

The Flyers and Capitals face each other again on Wednesday night at Wells Fargo Center. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
