The Lehigh Valley Phantoms signed forward Michael Parks to a one-year AHL deal on Friday. The signing was confirmed by his agent.
The 23-year old Parks is coming off a four-year career at the University of North Dakota, playing under new Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol.
In his senior season with the Sioux, he tallied 32 points, 12 goals and 20 assists, in 42 games with 43 penalty minutes. He also served as the team's captain.
The 6'0", 198-pound Parks was drafted by the Flyers in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. In four years at North Dakota, he totaled 43 goals and 48 assists in 151 games.
With the signing, Lehigh Valley will have 19 Forwards in training camp, which is slated to start the week of September 28.
