Flyers
Flyers vs. Hurricanes Preview: Extra Points

The seven-game homestand culminates for the Flyers with Saturday night’s game against the Carolina Hurricanes. Any form of points has been hard to come by for the Flyers, as they snapped a five-game losing streak on Thursday with their first win and first two points of the homestand.
The Hurricanes, meanwhile, may not need any extra points to make the playoffs, but their six-game winning streak has helped trim the margin to the top of the Metropolitan Division standings a bit.
Game time is 7 p.m.
Bobby Brink snapped a four-game pointless drought in a big way on Thursday with two goals and an assist, breaking the 30-point mark on the season.
Seth Jarvis enters Saturday’s game on a four-game points streak. His 26 goals on the season lead the Hurricanes.
Sam Ersson gets the start for the Flyers. Ersson snapped a personal three-game losing streak with the shootout win over the Lightning on Thursday, making 17 saves on 20 shots.
Pyotr Kochetkov gets the start for the Hurricanes. Kochetkov enters Saturday on a personal four-game winning streak, allowing just six goals on 89 shots in that time. He made 23 saves on 24 shots in a win over Tampa Bay in his last start.
