The Flyers begin the month of March on the road. They take on the NHL’s top team this season, the Winnipeg Jets. It will be their last road game until March 17, as a seven-game homestand awaits.

Saturday’s game also kicks off the final week before the trade deadline hits. It also is the first of 16 games on the schedule this month, which will only include more challenging opponents.

Flyers Jets Players to Watch

Matvei Michkov has been on fire since returning from the break. In his last three games, the rookie has eight points. He has posted three straight multi-point games and four multi-point games in his last five games played.

Kyle Connor continues to put together a strong season. Connor had a four-game points streak snapped on Thursday against Nashville. Over his last 10 games, Connor has five goals and 13 points.


Flyers Jets Goalie Matchup 3-1

Sam Ersson is expected to get the start for the Flyers. Ersson took the loss in overtime to the Penguins on Thursday, allowing five goals on 25 shots. That snapped a three-game winning streak for Ersson. He is also 2-0-0 with a 0.50 GAA and .984 save percentage in two career starts against Winnipeg.

Connor Hellebuyck gets the start for the Jets. Hellebuyck is having an incredible season, and is currently on a personal eight-game winning streak. He has made 189 saves on 205 shots during the streak, a save percentage of .922. Hellebuyck has also won 12 of his last 13 starts, dating back to Jan. 7.
