Coming off of a doubleheader split — including winning their first game with two or fewer hits since 1988 — the Philadelphia Phillies (50-39) will take on the New York Mets (36-52) in the third of a four-game set Tuesday evening at Citi Field. Right-handed starters Enyel De Los Santos and Drew Gagnon will each make their major league debuts.
To make room for De Los Santos on the 40-man roster, the Phillies transferred infielder Pedro Florimon (fractured right foot) to the 60-day disabled list, according to philly.com's Matt Breen.
Since April 4, the Phillies have produced at least one extra-base hit in a franchise fourth-longest streak of 85 games. Aaron Nola's three-run double saved the streak in Monday's nightcap. On the mound, Nola improved to 12-2, allowing just one hit and one walk with 10 strikeouts spanning seven shutout innings. Zach Eflin threw a no-decision in the opener, allowing three runs on five hits and four strikeouts through five frames. Victor Arano surrendered a walkoff, 10th-inning home run in the opener, but successfully recorded a one-out save in the nightcap.
Through six games against the Mets this season, the Phillies are 2-4, outscored 16-13. After Wednesday, both clubs will next meet in another doubleheader — single-admission — on August 16 at Citizens Bank Park.

The Columbia, California, native was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the third round of the 2011 amateur draft. On Dec. 13, 2016, the Brewers traded Gagnon and catcher Martin Maldonado to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim for catcher Jett Bandy. Gagnon entered free agency the next offseason and signed a minor-league pact with the New York Mets.
