The Philadelphia Phillies haven't followed the lead of some major league teams that have switched to matte batting helmets in recent years. However, they do appear to have made a tweak to their batting helmets for the 2018 season.
As Phillies play-by-play announcer Tom McCarthy alluded to during the 2017 season, it appears that the Phillies batting helmets now feature a 3D logo. The image of Dylan Cozens at the top of the post gives a pretty good look, as does this side angle picture of Scott Kingery:

Over the past few years, interest in sports aesthetics has greatly increased. The Phillies seem to be adjusting to this new climate. They began wearing the highly-controversial red alternate jerseys for afternoon home games on weekdays in 2016. That same year, the Phillies made the font on all of their jerseys bolder than it had previously been. And Matt Gelb of The Athletic reported earlier this month that the Phillies will wear their powder blue alternate jerseys on "select Thursday home games" in 2018.
