As his Philadelphia Phillies career winds down, first baseman Ryan Howard will reach a unique milestone by playing in this evening's Phillies game against the Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field.
According to Jim Salisbury of Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, Wednesday will be the first time that Howard plays at the new Comiskey Park:

Howard, who made his big-league debut in 2004 and began regularly playing for the Phillies during May of 2005, has never previously played in U.S. Cellular Field.
Of course, Howard has played in more than the 30 stadiums that currently house Major League clubs. He played in plenty of stadiums that have since been replaced, including Shea Stadium and Sun Life Stadium.
Earlier today, ESPN's Jayson Stark reported that Howard, along with long-time teammate Carlos Ruiz, had cleared waivers. Stark noted that Howard, who is in the final guaranteed year of a five-year/$125 million deal, is 'virtually certain' to stay in Philadelphia past the Sept. 1 non-waiver trade deadline.
