Steve Adams of MLB Trade Rumors reports that the Phillies acquired infielder Tyler Pastornicky from Texas for cash considerations. Upon release from the Atlanta Braves this spring, Pastornicky has played for the Ranger's organization and split time between Double-A and Triple-A posting a .281/.322/.366 this season.
Pastrornicky will report to Triple-A Lehigh Valley for the time being and adds infield depth. As Chase Utley rumors heat up, it isn't hard to imagine that either him or someone else could be on the major league roster sooner rather than later.
