As Phillies are preparing to celebrate Alumni Weekend at Citizens Bank Park this weekend, one member of the Wall of Fame is preparing for something else. Curt Schilling, an outspoken Republican in recent years, said that he was going to run for president in eight years (suggesting Republican Donald Trump completes two terms). In the meanwhile, State office will be Schilling's target, according to one of his Facebook posts.

Of course, this is far from an official political campaign announcement from Schilling. However it would not be much of a stretch, considering Schilling's outspoken stances on a number of issues in recent years.
Since retiring from baseball, Schilling operated a video game company, 38 Studios, which ended up in a bankruptcy that cost taxpayers as much as $75 million after the company defaulted on a loan to the State of Rhode Island. Since the company's demise, Schilling worked at ESPN as a baseball analyst.
Schilling could be in town this weekend, as most living Wall of Fame members usually are present for the annual induction ceremony.
