And just when you leave the house to go walk your dog, Ruben Amaro Jr. strikes! It's been a quiet few days in Phillies land, but the hot stove is finally blazing.
ESPN's Pedro Gomez is reporting the Phillies and Diamondbacks are discussing a trade which would send Pitcher Cliff Lee (and cash) to the Diamondbacks for OF Justin Upton. This trade would be a dream come true for Phillies fans, but we'll wait until we see how serious this deal is to get excited.
UPDATE: Local Diamondbacks writer Nick Piecoro says reports of a discussed trade are "off base".
