Time for some Philliedelphia trivia! Who has a lower career ERA: pitcher Mitchell Boggs, or third baseman Wade Boggs?
Answer: Third baseman Wade Boggs
The Phillies reportedly are interested in Mitchell Boggs, according to FoxSports.com's Ken Rosenthal:
Sources: #Phillies among the six teams showing interest in Mitchell Boggs.

If there are five other teams, though, I wonder what the Phillies' chances are.
The Phillies bullpen currently has as candidates for a major league job:
- Jonathan Papelbon
- Jake Diekman
- Antonio Bastardo
- Justin De Fratus
- Brad Lincoln
- Mike Adams (maybe)
- Mike Stutes
- Kevin Munson
- B.J. Rosenberg
- Luis Garcia (yeah, he's still on the roster)
- Jeremy Horst
- Ethan Martin
- Joe Savery
I would give any of these players before Boggs.
In 2013, Boggs went 0-3 with an 8.10 ERA, when he was not busy pitching to an 8.27 ERA in AAA. He had two saves in five opportunities, and allowed batters to reach base plenty with a WHIP of 2.06. Opponents batted .301 against him. In a major league career that began with the St. Louis Cardinals, Boggs is 13-15 with a 4.12 ERA.
Note: Wade Boggs has a career 3.86 ERA in pitching appearances for the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
