CSN Philly's Jim Salisbury reports that the Phillies have avoided arbitration with infielder Andres Blanco and new outfielder Peter Bourjos.
Blanco agreed to a one year contract worth $1.45 million. He thrived last season in his first full season with the big league club hitting .292/.360/.502 on top of his versatility as a utility infielder. As for Bourjos, who was claimed off waivers from St. Louis earlier today, he agreed to a one year contract worth $2 million.
The Phillies will also offer contracts to Freddy Galvis, Jeremy Hellickson, and Jeanmer Gomez as today is the deadline to tender contracts to arbitration eligible players.
