Phillies Beat Harper & The Nationals 3-2

Lannan pitched an excellent game tonight. He went 8 innings
with 4 hits, no runs, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Papelbon came in the 9th
and gave up 2 hits back to back. He ended up with 2 hits, 2 runs, and 2 earned
runs.

The game started with a single from Revere and Rollins,
followed by a double steal. Brown hit an infield single scoring Revere, 1-0,
Phillies. Rollins holds onto 3rd and brown is able to advance to 2nd
on a passed pitch. Michael Young walks the bases loaded. Ruf was walked, forced
in Jimmy Rollins, 2-0, Phillies. Ruiz flied out to Werth, leading the bases
loaded.

In the 6th inning, Revere started with a double,
followed by a Rollins RBI double scoring Ben, who was also demonstrating his
gymnastics routine. 3-0, Phillies.

Harper was able to score on a flyout to center by Werth.
3-1, Phillies. Zimerman scores on a flyout, 3-2, Phillies. Papelbon is able to
survive the 9th inning. Final score: 3-2, Phillies.
