Final: Phillies 6, Marlins 5 ❖  Attendance: 19,625

Miami, FL — The Phillies (18-14) battled back from deficits of 3-0 and 5-4 to take the rubber match of the weekend set with the Marlins (16-14), 6-5. Back-to-back RBI doubles from Andres Blanco and Tyler Goeddel gave the Phils the lead in the eighth and the bullpen closed it out from there, with Jeanmar Gomez earning his Major League leading 11th save. The victory sealed the Phils fourth series win in their last five and they move to 11-3 in games decided by one run, which is the best in baseball. It was also the first time in 13 games they scored more than four runs.

Aaron Nola wasn't as sharp as he's been recently, but he kept the team in the game and earned a no decision. Coming into the game with a 20-inning scoreless streak, Nola tossed six-innings of three-run ball, striking out five in the process. His scoreless streak was snapped at 23 innings, which is the most by a Phillies pitcher since Cole Hamels threw 24 shutout frames back in June of 2014,

The Phillies get the day off on Monday before heading to Atlanta to begin a series with the Braves on Tuesday night at Turner Field.

WP: Hector Neris (1-1, 1.80 ERA)  ❖  LP: David Phelps (2-2, 1.89 ERA) ❖ SV: Jeanmar Gomez (11)

In the top of the eighth, Ryan Howard drew a one-out walk and was replaced on the base paths by Emmanuel Burriss. After a Galvis fly out, Tyler Goeddel ripped an RBI double to right, scoring Burriss to tie things at five. Andres Blanco smacked a double in the next at bat to bring Goeddel home and give the Phillies a 6-5 advantage.
