PHILADELPHIA — A little over one-fifth of the way through the 2016 season, the Philadelphia Phillies sit five games over .500 and one and a half games out of first place in the National League East division.
They lead Major League Baseball in one-run victories, 12, six of which have occurred home at Citizens Bank Park.
Coming off of a season in which they drew the sixth-fewest attendance — averaging 22,606 fans per game — the Phillies introduced a "Spring Pass" to drum up enthusiasm for a team that had many questions heading into the start of the season.
Fans were able to attend 12 of the first 13 home games of the season (excluding Opening Day) for just $50. The Phillies won eight of those contests, averaging 3.25 runs scored and 1.75 runs allowed in the victories.
Given the success of both the team and promotion — with an increase of 2,201 from last season's attendance average thus far — the Phillies will bring back a "June Pass" for 10 of their 14 home games next month.
The games included in the weekday package — for the same price of $50 with varying seat locations — are as follows:
Nationals:
- Wed, June 1; 7:05 p.m.
Brewers:
- Thu, June 2; 7:05 p.m.
