It never hurts to have starting pitching depth, or depth at any position for that matter.
On Monday, the Philadelphia Phillies' sixth-ranked prospect, currently with the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs — RHP Enyel De Los Santos — was named International League Pitcher of the Week.

De Los Santos, 23, started his fifth professional season going 2-0 with a 0.75 ERA, 0.667 WHIP and a 19-2 strikeout-to-walk ratio spanning two starts and 12 innings. He allowed just six hits and one home run spanning his 44 batters faced to date.

The Dominican Republic native made his big-league debut home on July 10, 2018, against the New York Mets. He earned the win, yielding three runs on five hits, three walks and six strikeouts spanning 6 1/3 innings.
While right-handers Drew Anderson and Jerad Eickhoff may rank higher on the Phillies' minor-league depth chart, given their recent call-ups to the majors, De Los Santos is surely not far behind.
