With the trade deadline four days away, the first-place Philadelphia Phillies are poised to make at least one move to bolster the 25-man roster, as the postseason race continues to intensify.
The Phillies are said to be targeting a shortstop — with Scott Kingery underperforming and J.P. Crawford injured — and have shown interest in the Minnesota Twins' Eduardo Escobar, the Tampa Bay Rays' Adeiny Hechavarria, the New York Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera, and the Detroit Tigers' Jose Iglesias.
Another shortstop the club is currently considering, according to the New York Post's Joel Sherman, is a reunion with seven-year veteran, Freddy Galvis.

Galvis, 28, appeared in 642 games with the Phillies from 2012-2017, slashing .245/.287/.372 with 236 runs scored, 164 extra-base hits, 233 RBI, 43 stolen bases, 128 walks and 454 strikeouts.
The Punto Fijo, Venezuela, native was dealt to the San Diego Padres in December in exchange for right-hander Enyel De Los Santos. Galvis leads the majors in games played (105) this season, but has the fifth-worst offensive WAR (-14.0), trailing only the Baltimore Orioles' Chris Davis (-24.6), the Kansas City Royals' Alcides Escobar (-24.4), the Boston Red Sox' Eduardo Nunez (-19.7) and the Tigers' Victor Martinez (-18.5).
Galvis is earning $6.83 million in 2018, and is set to enter free agency for the first time of his career following the season.
