Heading into last season, veteran broadcaster Larry Andersen decided to scale back his duties in the Phillies radio booth. Instead of doing all 162 games alongside play-by-play announcer Scott Franzke, Andersen cut back to home games. To fill the other 81 games, the Phillies went with three former Phillies: infielders Kevin Frandsen, Kevin Stocker and Kevin Jordan. But heading into 2019 the Phillies will entrust all to one Kevin.
The Phillies announced on Thursday that Frandsen would be the lone complement to Franzke for half of the schedule:
#Phillies have expanded the role of radio broadcaster Kevin Frandsen. Frandsen will work 81 Phillies games alongside play-by-play announcer Scott Franzke on the Phillies Radio Network beginning in 2019.

The split does not indicate whether it is a full home and road split, though Andersen worked home games last season.
Sportsradio WIP, the flagship station for the Phillies Radio Network, released a statement from Frandsen:
“My family and I are beyond excited that the Phillies chose me to be part of a team with Scott and Larry,” Frandsen said. “I have such an admiration for them both, and to have the opportunity to continue to broadcast Phillies games is very special.”
Frandsen does more on the radio than broadcast games.
At San Francisco's KNBR, Frandsen co-hosts the station's 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. evening show. Frandsen got into sports radio as part of the station's morning show before moving to evenings. Frandsen continues to host shows for the station.
