The look on Cliff Lee's face (above) was right after he threw a pitch for the final time in 2014. July 31, the non-waiver trade deadline, when conceivably Lee could have been traded, he sprained his pitching elbow. Now in camp, trade rumors were already swirling upon Lee, even before he threw a pitch. Today he finally did, and reports are good.
Meghan Montemurro of the Delaware News Journal reports:
After throwing live BP to a group that included Ruiz, Galvis and Revere, #Phillies Cliff Lee told coach Pete Mackanin that he felt good.

The Phillies could move Lee as soon as he demonstrates himself fully healthy.
Lee was the subject of trade rumors in recent days. One report indicated that two teams even checked in with the Phillies as to what it would take to acquire Lee. A deal will be difficult, given Lee's contract that includes $27.5 million vesting option for 2016. Lee also has a 20-team no trade clause, but many speculate it will not be a problem.
