On the brink of falling 30 games under .500, the Philadephia Phillies (29-58) will send right hander Severino Gonzalez to the mound against 2009 American League Cy Young Award winner and three-time All-Star, Zach Greinke.

Severino Gonzalez will take the mound tonight for his seventh career start, and his first against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 22-year-old rookie native to Panama was recalled this past Tuesday from Triple-A Lehigh Valley, as right hander Kevin Correia was designated for assignment.
Over six career appearances against the Phillies, three of which have come as a Los Angeles Dodger, Greinke is 4-1 with a 2.48 ERA over 36.1 innings. The right hander has tossed at least six innings in all five of his career starts against Philadelphia, and at least seven innings in four of them.
Greinke, 31, has not allowed a run in his past four starts. Over this stretch in 27.2 innings, he has surrendered just 15 hits and three walks to yield a 0.651 WHIP ratio.
Greinke's 1.48 ERA currently leads all of major league baseball.
