With only 10 days left until the Phillies open against the Altanta Braves, some roster questions remain. With today's demotion of Darin Ruf and with Delmon Young still expected to open the season on the disabled list, the Phillies have an opening in the outfield. Further, with Carlos Ruiz missing 25 games due to testing postive for a banned substance, the Phillies are down one catcher. Some indications today are that the Phillies may make some moves:
From Jayson Stark of ESPN.com:
Other teams say #Phillies have been trying to add an outfielder, catching & bullpen depth. "Lot of time left" to tweak roster, Amaro said

Asked if he's working on a trade, Amaro said: "We'll see. If there are ways to improve our team, we'll try to do it."

The outfield opening is obvious; maybe the Phillies are not satisfied with their current catching tandem of Erik Kratz and Humberto Quintero.
The Phillies could acquire someone at either position that could be optioned when roster room is needed for Ruiz or Delmon Young.
