The Rule 5 draft has been good to the Phils in recent years, plucking Shane Victorino and Odubel Herrera from other organizations. Hunter eager to prove his worth to the Phillies

He hadn't been part of a major league 25-man roster since 2011 and with an expected starting outfielder of Herrera, Peter Borjous and Aaron Altherr, along with Cody Asche locked into a spot, Triple A was the only destination he had planned on. But thanks to injuries and a very impressive spring performance, Hunter not only made the team, but has seen plenty of playing time to start the season.
