Phillies No. 11 Prospect De Los Santos to Make MLB Debut in New York

Just two days after being named to the 2018 MLB All-Star Futures Game World Roster —  in addition to the Triple-A All-Star Game — Philadelphia Phillies No. 11 prospect Enyel De Los Santos will instead reportedly make his MLB debut in the third of  a four-game series against the New York Mets Tuesday at Citi Field.

To create a spot of the Phillies 40-man roster, the Phillies are expected to place infielder Pedro Florimon (fractured right foot) on the 60-day disabled list, according to MLB.com's Todd Zolecki.

Since joining the Phillies organization this past offseason — in the trade that sent shortstop Freddy Galvis to the San Diego Padres — De Los Santos is 9-3 with a 1.89 ERA, 87-31 strikeout-to-walk ratio and 1.080 WHIP in 16 starts and 95 1/3 innings at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, native leads the International League in wins and ERA.
