Phillies outfield prospect Roman Quinn is known well for his speed, but also his injury history. Since being selected in the second round of the 2011 draft, Quinn has yet to play more than 88 games in a season. He has played in just one game since June 14 thanks to a hamstring injury, and today, the Phillies announced that the 23-year-old is heading to the seven-day disabled list with an oblique injury.

Prior to injuring his oblique, Quinn was hitting .288 with 10 doubles, three triples, four homers, 25 steals, 44 runs scored and 16 RBI's. His bat was catching fire too, hitting .405 during the 10 games before his injury.

Quinn played 66 games in 2012, 67 in 2013, 88 in 2014 and 58 in 2015. This season, he's played in 50 games with Double-A Reading, not slowing down a bit on the basepaths or in the outfield despite his previous injuries, but unfortunately he is out of commission once again.

In his place, Double-A Reading has given a majority of the starts to Aaron Brown while both KC Serna and Osmel Aguila have also seen time in center.

The Reading Fightin' Phils haven't been slowed down by Quinn's absence as they continue to possess the best record in Minor League Baseball at 47-19 entering play on Thursday.
