Through the spring schedule thus far, the three prospects have seen mixed results, but it was a positive experience for all three of them as they head to their respective minor league destinations.
Crawford, 21, is one of the most touted prospects in baseball this year and his first trip to big league camp resulted in a .150 average (3-for-20) with four runs scored, three walks, three strikeouts and an RBI. He'll spend some time in minor league camp before the regular season begins, where he will either be placed back at Double-A Reading to start or promoted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.
Nick Williams, 22, battled the flu during the spring and lost eight pounds, but looked sharp at the plate over the last couple of games to finish off his spring campaign on a strong note. Williams hit .227 (5-for-22) with three doubles, a home run, four RBI's, three runs scored, two walks and seven strikeouts.
Quinn, 22, was impressive during spring training, showing off his speed both on the basepaths and in the outfield. In 11 games, Quinn hit .300 (6-for-20) with three triples, a home run, three RBI's, three walks, five strikeouts, two steals and five runs scored. He'll head to Reading, where he spent last season before going down with a leg injury.
The Phillies also sent hard-throwing righty Edubray Ramos to Double-A. Ramos saw action in four games this spring and hurled 3.1 innings, allowing one earned run while walking five and striking out three. Last season between Clearwater and Reading, Ramos went 4-5 with a 2.07 ERA in 69.2 innings.
