The Seattle Mariners are desperate for offense right now. Having recently added outfielder Mark Trumbo, the Mariners are on the hunt for more. One Phillies player drawing interest from the Mariners is Ben Revere.
Jim Salisbury of CSN Philly reports that the Mariners were watching Revere during the Cincinnati series:
Seattle, even after acquiring Mark Trumbo, is still monitoring the market for hitters and spent the series checking in on Ben Revere.
The Mariners currently are scuffling in the outfield.
Dustin Ackley is hitting just .198 as the Mariners left fielder. Austin Jackson has been stellar in center field, and they have even given some outfield time to long-time second baseman Rickie Weeks. Weeks is hitting just .163. Revere would be an upgrade over either.
