PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Phillies have transferred right-hander Aaron Nola to the 60-day disabled list, effectively ending his second big league season.
Nola, 23, was originally placed on the 15-day disabled list on August 3 with a right elbow sprain.
It has been revealed that the right-hander has a low-grade UCL sprain and a low-grade flexor strain and has been shut down for four weeks with no surgery necessary at this time, according to Meghan Montemurro of The News Journal.
Nola saw Dr. Andrews Mon, got PRP injection. Workload ramp up after 4-week shutdown to see how he feels. #Phillies hope he'll be OK for ST.
